Jag menar alltså sådant som är utanför den verkliga världen, bortsett från vidriga mördare, våldtäktsmän och annat som givetvis är skrämmande men tyvärr en del av vår verklighet. Många kan inte läsa skräck för att de inte kan sova eller vara ensamma hemma efteråt. Men vad skrämmer då mig?
Jag har inte direkt svårt för att se på skräckfilm, jag brukar inte bli så rädd. Böcker kan ha en tendens att vara något värre eftersom de på ett annat sätt är inne i ens huvud, men jag sovgott om nätterna när jag läste till exempel Låt den rätte komma in. Jag blir något mer rädd av filmer där man inte får se det hemska, men i de flesta filmer får man ju se till slut ändå och det förstör. Jag gillar att läsa och se filmer om det övernaturliga och det utomjordliga men skrämmer det mig?
Jag tror inte på andar och spöken så det skrämmer mig inte i världen utanför fiktionen. Dock betyder det int…

Sommarläsning

Idag börjar mitt lokala bibliotek med sommarlån, det vill säga att ma nfår ha böckerna i sex veckor. Jag passar på att kolal igenom de tips jag fått om Oceanien och Danmark, kollar vad som finns inne på biblioteket och kommer fram till följande lista som ska lånas hem idag:

- Sonya Hartnett - Torsdagsbarn (ungdomsbok, australiensisk författarinna, den sista boken i ALMA-utmaningen)
- Christian Jungersen - Undantaget (dansk författare, en bok som man inte ska kunna lägga ifrån sig)
- Janet Frame - En ängel vid mitt bord (författare från Nya Zeeland, självbiografisk bok)
- John Marsden - I morgon när kriget kom (australiensisk författare, ungdomsbok, dystopi?)
- Jette Kaarsbol - Den stängda boken (dansk författarinna, historisk roman)
- Peter Hoeg - De kanske lämpade (dansk författare)

Får in en hel del utmaningar där känner jag. Det blir en tur till biblioteket på lunchen!

Födelsedagspresent

Jag unnar mig en liten födelsedagspresent till mig själv, nämligen två muggar från Penguins classics-serien. Många fina klassiker att välja på en till slut blev det Dostojevkis Brott och straff samt Svindlande höjder av Emily Brontë. De finns att beställa på adlibris.com men där finns det inga bilder på muggarna och jag hittade inte Brott och straff där. Fick i stället beställa från Papercut.
